It’s official… I. Am. A. Beached. Whale.
The twins hit a growth spurt, new stretch marks have appeared, and I’ve lost the ability to sit in ANY position with any comfort what-so-ever. (And most of the time I just plain can’t as The Belly gets in the way haha)
And I’m as ill as a dog. Lost my voice. Have some kind of infection and I’m on antibiotics. I hope they work because I feel worse every day. This’ll be a sluggish Christmas ~ but wonderful just the same.
I can hear my wean wailing. I’ll see if she wants a sook of milk. We had twin calves born last night! I’ve been beaten in the race by a cow!!!!

oh you poor thing! hope you feel better soon.
I think it must be pregnancy that’s making it so hard for me to shake these bugs. I have a sinus infection and also The Cold That’s Making The Rounds. I thought I was tough… until I got pregnant with twins LOL!!
good heavens …! What position is your ‘comfortable’ one Moo …? I would imagine that a mattress on the floor with plenty of cushions would be nice …?!
I guess you can’t even make free and loose with the christmas spirit … (liquor that is, not exuberance) …
As a bloke/chap I have no idea of your discomfort but as father of 5 my true/sincere empathy goes out to you….well done just for keeping it all together…….Season’s Greetings to you and your ever expanding Family…….RJG
I had lost track of your blog and found you again. I live on a small farm in NY and my 9 year old daughter and I have enjoyed looking at your photos and reading about life on your farm. Twins!!!! How exciting, you are truly blessed! Your little Elspeth looks like she can be a handful, but she is beautiful! Best wishes to you and your family this New Year! PS, Erland have any relatives that came to America? My small farm was once owned by a Spence family. We have a cemetary with their family plot, dating from 1800’s on the property. A lot of Spences seem to have come from Ireland.
I remember your blogs before the children arrived. You used to mention your husband. Typical woman - as soon as the kids arrive husband takes second or third place. We warn prospective husbands at each Fank and advise them to have a replacement lined up.
